On November 19th, my friend Kelly came in from Missouri where she goes to college to visit. She couldn’t stay the whole weekend, but that day, Kim and I already had a photoshoot planned and I wanted to go to Phipps with Kelly, so we all went together. By the time we got there, it was much later than we had planned, and Kim had a photoshoot she had to go to, so unfortunately, Kim didn’t get to actually go in Phipps with us. We have a trip planned for New Years that I’m really looking forward to though. It was really sunny and windy that day, and it doesn’t help that Phipps is on top of a large hill. Kim’s photoshoot was vintage themed, and I went all Meiji Era with yabane and hakama, so no new outfit for me there, but Kim’s is new!
I tied a tsunodashi variation on Kim ^^
I wasn’t actually trying to copy Kim, my foot got stuck XD
This was my first time inside Phipps and I really enjoyed it. I am a biologist, but my least favorite thing is plants <.< but there was some really cool stuff to see! I threw in some of my favorites:
These are the spider chrysanthemums (kangiku) featured on kimono. They are pretty cool!
There was one part that was a Japanese style garden, so I had a fun time doing some cool Zen-style shots. I took a few serious pics for something different, and they turned out better than I thought they would.

The whole set is here.
