Kim and I had been planning a new years trip to Phipps Conservatory for a while now, so we went on the 29th. The original plan was to wear tomesode or furisode, but I wanted to wear my new kimono  and with Kim’s gallstones, she wanted comfort, so we saved those plans for later.  The holiday displays were beautiful. There was a man and a woman playing Christmas songs on hand bells and tons of Christmas trees.

Kim and I with the enormous center Christmas tree. It was breathtaking.

The center tree. It was very tastefully decorated in silver and blue.

The tree was in perfectly still water, so all of the lights were reflected on the surface. A genius idea. It was amazing.
